This beautiful film leads us to reflect our conduct as human beings and especially puts us before the Creator, because we are God’s family. Such a spiritual enriching movie I wish all in the world  could see it

Introduction:

“Do you believe it?” is a film that goes beyond the screen, touching the most sensitive fibers of our hearts and challenging us to reflect on faith, purpose and the power of belief.

The film explores how faith can be tested amid challenges and adversity and how belief in God can be a source of strength.

Directed by Jon Gunn, this drama is a true emotional roller coaster, taking viewers on a journey of introspection and self-discovery.

With a talented cast that includes actors such as Lee Majors (actor of the Cybor series) and Cybill Shepherd,(actress of the Cat and the Mouse series) the film offers emotional and authentic interpretations of the characters, making the narrative even more engaging.

The story of a pastor who is moved by the preaching of a homeless man and, from this, decides to put all his faith into action to help people. Having him as the center of the plot, other people’s lives intersect, questioning their faith (and sometimes the pastor himself) and allowing them to come into contact with divine power.

The plot of the film revolves around twelve people, following different paths, have their lives intercepted unexpectedly. Each of them is facing challenges and struggling with their own pains and disappointments and about to discover the power that is in the cross of Christ, even though many of them do not believe it. A true belief always requires action and in this trajectory, everyone will be impacted in a way that only God can orchestrate.

However, their lives are transformed when they are challenged to answer the crucial question:

Do you really believe in God?

Rev. Matthew (Ted McGinley): The central story revolves around a pastor, Rev. Matthew, who, after an impactful meeting with a street preacher, is challenged to take his faith to a deeper level. He begins to distribute wooden crosses to his congregation, encouraging them to demonstrate their faith in concrete actions.

Grace (Trace Melchior): Pastor Rev. Matthew brings a pregnant young woman to his home, but his wife, does not accept, but she repents and brings the young woman to live with the couple and the implications of this gesture, as well as the closeness between the pastor’s wife and the aimless pregnant young woman, are maximally simplified in favor of love for your neighbor.

Malachi (Delroy Lindo): A street preacher who has a shocking encounter with Rev. Matthew at the beginning of the film. Their presence and message trigger a series of events that affect the other characters.

Elena (Valery Domínguez): A dedicated nurse who cannot understand the coldness of a doctor (Dr. Farrew) towards her patients and who is faced with resuscitation involving a patient and is confronted with the impact of her faith in this crucial situation.

Bobby (Matthew TaiIford): husband of nurse Elena, a dedicated paramedic who helps a person at the time of his death by giving a spiritual comfort but suffers a lawsuit from the wife of the deceased and refuses to deny his faith in Christ to bear false testimony, even though this may mean the ruin of your family, for you may lose your job and serve as a remarkable example of a faith in God.

Samantha (Mira Sorvino):  blames God for letting her husband die, today is a homeless mother who takes care of her friendly daughter Lilly (Makenzie Moss) who live attending shelters and living in a cold city of feelings, where people are absent from love in the heart.  Your journey involves seeking reconciliation and strengthening your faith.

JD (Lee Majjors) and Teri (Cybill Shepherd) husband and wife who have not yet recovered from the loss of their daughter find in living with a pair of helpless the possibility to move forward.

Joe (Brian Bosworth): A man converted to dying faith houses mother and daughter because he was previously saved from darkness. An ex-con struggling to find redemption and a new purpose in his life after being released from prison.

Maggie (Madison Pettis) : A young woman who is pregnant and homeless. Mattew finds this young woman picking up food in the trash and resolves that it must help her in some way. Her life intersects with that of other characters, leading her to confront her own choices and to discover the importance of faith.

Carlos (Joseph Julian): brother of the character Elena is a soldier who was in the conflict zone, returning with traumas from the conflict.

Lacey (Alexa Penavega): A woman who arrives at Farrel’s hospital suspected of eating foods that cause her allergies, purposely to commit suicide.

Handsome (Shwayse): feels touched first with Malachi and then with Rev. Matthew, he converts and ends up donating the money of the robbery to the church, already his brother Kriminal ended up arrested, but gives to understand that he accepted Christ in his heart.

Dr. Farell (Sean Astin):  skeptical doctor and his lawyer girlfriend Andrea (Logan White), a doctor who faces a morally challenging situation in his work, which leads him to consider the role of his faith in his decisions.

These characters represent a wide range of experiences and challenges, and their stories intertwine significantly throughout the film “Do You Believe?”. Each of them faces dilemmas that test their faith, and the film explores how belief in God influences their individual choices and journeys.

As the stories develop, the characters face challenges, doubts and crises of faith, but also find hope, redemption and love.
